Cruises from Galveston

One of the common traits travel agents is that we all love to travel,  just like our clients.  It was this past weekend that many of us traveled to Galveston to help welcome the Carnival Magic to it’s new home port of Galveston, Texas.

That’s right, Carnival’s biggest and newest ship chose Galveston for its home port and will offer 6, 7, and some 8 day cruises out of Galveston that are convenient for you.  And since Texas Cruise Company specializes in Galveston Cruises, this was good news for us too!

Carnival hired the band Maroon 5 and threw a big party in downtown Galveston and travel agents from all over came and spent a free night onboard the Carnival Magic compliments of Carnival.  And, the food and all drinks of all kinds were also complimentary.

Thank You Carnival Cruise Line for being such a good host and bringing the Carnival Magic to our home port in Texas.

Ramona Werst and Bobby Godwin of Leisure Travel Alliance

We spent the evening before boarding at Galveston’s Moody Gardens and attended their ‘Festival of Lights‘ courtesy of a travel association we belong to.  Leisure Travel Alliance (LTA) had a reception at Moody Gardens and we got to know the principals of the company and they provided tickets for a tour of the Festival of Lights all through Moody Gardens.  I have to say, Moody Gardens and their event staff really know how to put on a show.   You will be hearing quite a bit more about our association with LTA.  It is through them that we will be offering some affordable cruises, great deals on cruises, and very generous amenities for your groups or your individual cruises.  Here is a photo of Ramona Werst of Texas Cruise Company and Bobby Godwin of LTA.  He and his dad are two of the good guys in the travel industry.  This association and powerful marketing agreement will make Texas Cruise Company your preferred Cruise Agent for your next Galveston Cruise.

Here is a Montage of the Festival of Lights we saw on our walking tour through Moody Gardens.  The lights were spectacular and the Festival of Lights is a popular attraction for tourists and locals alike.

Did we have a good time?  The answer is yes.  And we came home with 12 pounds of fresh shrimp which made it all even better.

Many thanks to Carnival Cruise Lines, Leisure Travel Alliance, and to our many cruise clients.  We stay on top of the new ships coming to Galveston and we love to tell you all about it.

Call us anytime for your next Galveston Cruise at 325-835-7561.  We would love to hear from you!
