Get ready to take a Texas Cruise!

Carnival is bringing the biggest and baddest cruise ship they have to Texas starting November 14, 2011. Carnival Cruise Lines’ newest ship, the Carnival Magic, will be calling Galveston its home port.  Now you can enjoy a Cruise From Galveston in true Texas style.

Not from Texas?  Not to worry!   You can just enjoy the very best cruise from Galveston on one of the biggest and most glamorous ships afloat today!

And if that was not pretty big news by itself…there’s more!  The Carnival Triumph will be coming from New Orleans to Galveston to operate year-round four- and five-day Caribbean cruises from the Texas Cruise port beginning October 6, 2011.
Just so you know…Carnival Conquest and Carnival Ecstasy, both of which are currently based in Galveston, will be going just down the Gulf to New Orleans to operate year-round departures from that port, returning the line to pre-Katrina capacity levels there.
It’s really difficult to do anything on a small scale in Texas, and bringing the Carnival Magic to Galveston is no exception – it will be the largest-ever capacity commitment by a cruise line to the Lone Star state! Yep, it’s Texas Cruise time in Galveston.
Just to get started, the Carnival Magic will debut in Europe in May 2011, offering seven, nine, and 12-day Mediterranean voyages from Barcelona May 1 to October 16, 2011; followed by a 16-day trans-Atlantic crossing from Barcelona to Galveston departing October 28, 2011. Can you imagaine what a trip sailing into Gavleston would feel like?  Texas Cruise Company can book you on that cruise so you can be the first to sail into Galveston.
After October, guests can choose from two different week-long itineraries from Galveston, including seven-day western Caribbean voyages to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, and week-long eastern Caribbean cruises to Nassau, Freeport, and Key West.
Taking a trip to Galveston is really like visiting a ‘whole other country’ for most Texans and visitors from the middle part of the USA.  We Texans really think nothing of a 5 to even an 8 hour drive to Galveston or a quick plane flight. A Caribbean cruise is the perfect setting for a wedding party, honeymoon, anniversary, graduation, reunion, fun vacation or multi-generational trip of a lifetime!
Like its sister ship, the Carnival Dream, the Carnival Magic features exciting amenities including a spectacular water park, an exclusive adults-only retreat, a wrap-around promenade with whirlpools that extend out over the ship’s sides, and expansive spa and children’s facilities.
In true Carnival style, guests will have a range of stateroom choices, including family-friendly, five-berth deluxe two-bathroom ocean view accommodations; cove balcony cabins located closer to the water line; and special spa staterooms. Several innovations unique to the Carnival Magic will be announced in the near future.
So…Get your cruise boots on for the Carnival Magic.  It would make a great family reunion cruise.
