Carnival Conquest’s 6 Ports of Call
So you’re about to sail out on a Texas Cruise on board the Carnival Conquest. But hold on a minute—do you know exactly where you’re going? Texas Cruise Company.com has the answer for you. Call us at 1-325-835-7561.
The Carnival Conquest has two main cruises to choose from. You can go on a 7-day Eastern or Western Caribbean cruise. Here are some of the ports the Carnival Conquest visits while on either cruise, and some of the reasons that make each port on the Texas Cruise a worthwhile stop for anyone who wants to get away for a holiday.
Key West, Florida. One of our favorite cities! Aptly named the Conch Republic, the Key West boasts of many colorful bars and just as many colorful characters. This southernmost tip of the U.S. where former president Harry
Ramona enjoyed Dancing with Dolphins
Truman spent summers running the country and playing poker, is a delight to visit. Check out Ernest Hemingway’s house where you will find his famous six-toed cats and his original manuscripts. Bike around the Old Town, and don’t forget to stop by the cemetery, which is not like any cemetery you have seen before. Go on walking tours and boat excursions to see your fill of Key West’s beautiful scenery. And, when you’re all tired from the sight-seeing, eat your fill of culinary treasures, among them the celebrated Key Lime pie and the conch salad. We became key lime pie experts on our last trip to Key West and we’ve been back several times since that first visit.
Montego Bay. You will never run out of things to do in Mo’ Bay, Jamaica’s second biggest community. You can shop til you drop, bask under the sun in gorgeous beaches, dine in style at any of Montego Bay’s fine restaurants, or tour sugar cane plantations of yore. Don’t forget to stop by Tryall or White Witch’s Rose Hall, for world-class golf courses.
Freeport, Bahamas. A sportsman’s haven, Freeport offers weary travelers endless opportunities for scuba diving, sailing, snorkeling, and golfing! Is shopping your only sport? Don’t fret—you can score big at any of the duty-free shops in the area. Or, you can make a sport out of relaxing and simply catch some sun in the port’s many exquisite white-sand beaches.
Nassau, Bahamas. Why is a stop-over at Nassau a vacation in itself? It’s this: endless stretches of white-sand beaches, a long line of coconut palms offering shade and delectable fruit treats, and warm, clear waters teeming with rich marine life. Whether you spend your day shopping, riding past sorbet-colored buildings on board a carriage, or seeing the wonders of the sea in a glass-bottom boat, you will leave Nassau with a happy smile and a happier heart.
Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Turquoise waters sparkling with untold wonders, powder-soft sand to bury your toes in, and restaurants, resorts, and night clubs a’plenty—Grand Cayman has these and more. Go scuba diving, snorkeling with stingrays, sailing catamarans, sports fishing, or just mellowing out on powder-soft sand.
Cozumel, Mexico. Long before Cancun hogged the limelight, Cozumel was already very well-known for its diving spots and for the Palancar Reef, which provides divers the perfect opportunity to see thousands of richly-colored fish. What if you’re a non-diver or would rather not do anything taxing? Enjoy seaside activities instead. Or, dine in open-air cafés. Or, relax in a sun-drenched beach. In Cozumel, you can have fun bigger and better. And there’s always golf. We’ve played at Cozumel Country Club and chased large Iguana’s off the tee box. Fun? You bet!
The Carnival Conquest’s ports of call are more than just seaports; they are vacations on their own. Don’t just take photos of them—enjoy them! Who ya gonna call for the famous Texas Cruise? Texas Cruise Company at 1-325-835-7561.
