CARNIVAL CONQUEST has everything you want in a cruise vacation; beautiful destination spots, award-winning stage shows, clubs and lounges, Spa Carnival, a friendly casino, delicious dining options — including a reservations-only supper club, and now, our new Carnival Seaside Theatre. And, with 60% of her staterooms featuring ocean views, and 60% of those having private balconies, there’s no better way to conquer the Western Caribbean. And don’t forget, the big Carnival Conquest just got back from dry dock where it received a very nice makeover . It’s like taking a cruise on a brand new ship.
Carnival carries 350,000 passengers annually from Galveston on its Conquest and Ecstasy, both based year-round at the island port which is up and running very smoothly after Hurricane Ike pounded Galveston.
Carnival Conquest will depart about once a month from its standard seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries and port instead at Key West, Fla., and at Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas. this is a great switch for those that love the Conquest and also want to sail out of Galveston.
Get your picture made at America’s southernmost point in Key West. You can also visit Hemingway’s residence and see the six toed cats.
These itineraries, which include three days at sea, leave Galveston on Feb. 15, March 15, March 29, May 17, June 14, July 12, Aug. 9, Sept. 20, Oct. 18, Nov. 15 and Dec. 13, 2009.
Because of good advance sales, the Eastern cruises are priced higher than the Conquest’s other voyages, which visit Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Montego Bay, Jamaica. However, for the blue water loving crowd, those itineraries are hard to beat.
Those Eastern prices during spring and early summer start at about $1,100 for interior staterooms, $1,300 for ocean view cabins and $1,500 for balcony accommodations.
Prices drop significantly by fall, with November fares starting at $649 and December rates at $609.
The Carnival Cruise Ships Ecstasy never fails to amaze. This ship was designed with pizzaaz from the neon lights of the Grand Atrium to the shined brass and marble of
the Society Bar. City Lights Boulevard leads to Stripes Dance Club, the Rolls Royce Cafe, the casino and a variety of bars. Dance to live music at Chinatown, where pagoda lamps and lanterns create an Oriental theme, or catch a Vegas revue – complete with elaborate costumes, lighting effects and pyrotechnics – at the Blue Sapphire Lounge.
The Panorama Bar & Grill, snack bars, a pizzeria and other dining areas complement the Wind Song and Wind Star restaurants. Every Carnival Cruise ships guest is assured of spacious, comfortable accommodations. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films.
