Every Texan or Texan at heart will feel right at home on Carnival’s Conquest, the Texas size ship that sails out of Galveston with different itineraries sure to appeal to nearly everyone. And, just
to make sure everyone knows, Carnival is up and running in Galveston even though Galveston itself is still cleaning up some. Not to worry, Houston is just down the road and has plenty to see and do until Galveston recovers some from Hurricane Ike.
All that being said, Galveston is a FANTASTIC city and it WILL be back in all its glory. It’s home to a lot of resilient folks with a Texas size CAN DO attitude.
Choices? You bet your boots!
The Carnival Conquest departs on Sunday on it’s Western Caribbean trip from Galveston. After a couple of fun days at sea, the Conquest stops in Montego Bay, Jamaica; Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands, and Cozumel, Mexico. One more great day at sea and you are back at Galveston. However, it’s everything in between that is where the fun is.

We’ll tell all the secrets of having a great time on this Western Caribbean cruise later on and boy do we know the secrets. We’re not just repeating some hearsay either. We are from Texas and have sailed on the Carnival Conquest several times and done the shore excursions from Carlos ‘n Charlies to swimming with Stingrays, to getting Ramona’s hair braided so tight in Jamaica her eyeballs nearly popped. Lots more on future posts on how we had a good time and we’ll give out our best recommendations for you and your Carnival Cruise trip.
The Eastern Caribbean itinerary is just as great!
The Eastern Caribbean itinerary takes cruisers from Galveston to Key West, Florida; Freeport, Bahamas; Nassau Bahamas, and back to Galveston with plenty of food, fun, and luxury along the way. it just doesn’t get much better than the Carnival Conquest (or the Carnival Ecstasy).
Have we been there before? That’s a big Texas “Yes Sir” or “Yes Ma’am” to that.
We’ve been to Key West several times and even went Tarpon fishing. We’ll tell you who to talk to to book your next Tarpon fishing trip and our great visits around Key West.
