Carnival Ecstasy Cruises the Caribbean
This ship from Carnival Cruise Lines offers you time to relax and unwind at its three pools and whirlpools. The Ecstasy has been completely refurbished from head to toe and it is one classy ship. It’s clean, sharp, and very spiffy! And the best part….is sails right out of Galveston.
You can book your short cruises and corporate events with confidence at Texas Cruise Company. We just had a family group cruise return from a Christmas cruise to Cozumel and back.
Appease your appetite for great food with its formal and casual dining experiences. All 1,026 staterooms and 54 suites have been lavishly upgraded. The interior staterooms are comfortably spacious, and the staterooms with ocean view offer amazing views of the ocean. Ecstasy offers several different itineraries for cruising the Western Caribbean
Its 5-day Western Caribbean cruise takes you to Cozumel in Mexico and then over to Progresso, Yucatan and back to Galveston with two days at sea. It’s a fun filled 5 days on board the Ecstasy.
The 4 day Carnival Ecstasy Caribbean cruise leaves from Galveston, spends a fun day at sea and docks in Cozumel. Yes, there’s plenty to do and see in Cozumel from shopping to snorkeling, to swimming with dolphins. My favorite….Cozumel Country Club and a round of golf on a sunny day in the Caribbean. There is always plenty to do in Cozumel and sometimes a four day cruise is just the ticket to get you back into the swing of things after a long cold spell.
On yet another 5 day cruise in the Western Caribbean on board the Ecstasy the destinations
switch a bit. This cruise sails to Progresso first, then over to Cozumel for another day and then sails back to Galveston. It’s just a different route to sail.
Depending on your physical activity level you can pick several really interesting shore excursions. For example, on our first trip, we simply got to know Cozumel and wandered around town shopping and sightseeing. It’s easy to do ‘on your own’. We were downtown Cozumel and decided to take a horse and buggy back to the cruise port. It was an interesting ride and the driver pointed out several points of interest.
So you can see the sites on your own or you can take advantage of really interesting shore excursions and do some things you don’t normally get to do everyday. We’ve done both and enjoyed it both ways.
Some of the shore excursions include:
- Zip line above a jungle canopy-yes, totally safe, but loads of fun.
- Atlantis submarine which takes you through clear water up to 100′ deep
- Snorkeling in crystal clear water
- Beginner’s scuba diving
- Certified two tank dive
- Kayak and snorkel in the clear Caribbean
- Golf at Cozumel Country Club – Great course played there several times
- Dolphin Encounter – You have GOT to experience these amazing creatures once in your life.
One little problem in Cozumel
We did have a little problem on one of our trips to Cozumel. We played golf all day at Cozumel Country Club and our golf companions were a couple of good old boys from Mississippi who kept the conversation lively and the refreshments flowing. The Carnival Golf Pro couldn’t play a good game because he was laughing so much. We all ended up at Carlos & Charlies after the round of golf and continued our ‘refreshing ways’. We heard the ship’s horn sound and knew it was time to get back or be left behind, so we walked on over a short ways to the cruise area and down the long dock to the ship. The Ecstasy’s sister ship, the Carnival Fantasy was docked right next to us. Wonder how many stayed too long at Carlos & Charlies or Senor Frog’s and tried to board the wrong ship?
Right now would be a great time to give us a call at Texas Cruise Company at 1-325-835-7561 and let us book your next cruise to wherever you want to go. We are Texas friendly and will help you every bit of the way. Of course you can click here and book direct with Carnival thru our link. Either way works for us, we just like to see you have a successful trip. You’ll see Travel Tex at the top of the page….that’ s us too.
Leave us a comment if you have ever been to Cozumel on Carnival.
Don’t visit Carlos & Charlies too long and try to get on the wrong ship.
